Salted Watermelon Juice (No Juicer Needed!)
Keep it classic and hydrating with fresh watermelon juice and a hint of salt!
Spice things up by shaking juice with tequila, lime and sea salt for a watermelon margarita. Extra points for a chili salt rim! :)
Salted Watermelon Juice (No Juicer Needed!)
Nothing says summer quite like fresh melon juice! Feel free to add a squeeze of lime, or use this as a base for a watermelon margarita. I prefer the simplicity of this recipe as is.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 2 minutes
Total Time: 12 minutes
Yield: 2 glasses with excess to store in fridge.
Ingredients:
1 Small Seedless Watermelon
1 Pinch or 2 Pinches of Flaky Sea Salt
Directions:
Remove rind from watermelon and cut into cubes.
Place watermelon cubes into blender (about 2/3 full) in batches and blend until smooth.
Pour juice into glasses and sprinkle each with a pinch of sea salt.
[Optional: strain juice through a mesh sleeve (I prefer to keep the bits of melon fiber throughout!)]
Store excess in a jar in the fridge or other tightly sealed container for a couple of days.
